happy fathers day wishes

Father's Day (United States)
Father's Day is a feast for fathers, celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. The tradition was created from a memorial service in honor of a large group of men who died in a mining accident in Monongah, West Virginia, in 1907 [1]. It was first proposed by Sonora Dodd of Spokane, Washington, in 1909 [2]. It is currently celebrated every year in the United States on the third Sunday of June [3].
The story
Father's Day was inaugurated in the United States in the early 20th century to complete Mother's Day by celebrating fathers, fatherhood and fatherhood.

Father's Day was founded in Spokane, Washington, at the YMCA in 1910 by Sonora Smart Dodd, born in Arkansas [4]. His first celebration took place at the YMCA in Spokane on June 19, 1910 [4] [5]. His father, the veteran of the Civil War, William Jackson Smart, was a single parent who raised his six children there. [4] After hearing a sermon on Jarvis Mother's Day at the Central Episcopal Methodist Church in 1909, she told her pastor that fathers should celebrate a similar holiday in their honor. [4] [6] Although she initially suggested June 5 for her father's birthday, pastors did not have enough time to prepare their sermons and the celebration was postponed to the third Sunday of June. [7] [8]

He did not have much success at the start. In the 1920s, Dodd stopped promoting the celebration because she was studying at the Art Institute in Chicago and this darkness disappeared into relative darkness, even in Spokane. In the 1930s, Dodd returned to Spokane and began to promote the celebration, raising awareness in the country. [10] She had the help of the commercial groups who would benefit the most from the party, such as the makers of ties, tobacco pipes and other traditional gifts to fathers. [11] Since 1938, she has benefited from the help of the Father's Day Council, founded by New York's men's associate retailers, to consolidate and systematize commercial promotion. [12] The Americans resisted the party for a few decades, seeing it as a simple attempt by the merchants to replicate the commercial success of Mother's Day, and the newspapers frequently presented cynical and sarcastic attacks and jokes. [13] But the trade groups did not give up: they continued to promote it and even incorporated the jokes into their ads, and they finally succeeded. [14] In the mid-1980s, the Fathers' Council wrote that "(...) [Father's Day] became the second Christmas of all gift-oriented industries for men" [15].

A bill granting national recognition of the party was presented to Congress in 1913 [16]. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson traveled to Spokane to speak at a Father's Day celebration [17] and wanted to make it official, but Congress resisted, fearing it would be marketed [18]. The President of the United States, Calvin Coolidge, recommended in 1924 that this day be celebrated by the nation, but he abstained from proclaiming a national proclamation. [17] Congress had defeated two previous attempts to formally recognize the party. [17] [19] In 1957, Maine Senator Margaret Chase Smith wrote a proposal accusing Congress of ignoring fathers for 40 years while honoring mothers, which "would only designate one of our parents" . [19] In 1966, President Lyndon B. Johnson issued the first presidential proclamation in honor of fathers, designating the third Sunday of June as Father's Day. [18] Six years later, this day became a permanent holiday when President Richard Nixon adopted it in 1972 [3] [17] [18] [19].

In addition to Father's Day, International Men's Day is celebrated in many countries on November 19 for men and boys who are not fathers.

The 2019 Cricket World Cup (officially designated 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup) is the 12th edition of the Cricket World Cup, which will be held in England and Wales [1] [2] from May 30 to July 14, 2019. [3]

Accommodation rights were awarded in April 2006, after England and Wales withdrew from the bid to host the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, which took place in Australia and New Zealand. The first match will take place at The Oval and the final at Lord's. This is the fifth time the Cricket World Cup will be held in England and Wales after the 1975, 1979, 1983 and 1999 World Cups.

The format of the tournament will consist of a single group of 10 teams, each team playing the other nine once, and the first four at the end of the group stage qualifying for the semi-finals. The 10-team tournament has received a lot of criticism due to the lack of teams associated with the tournament. With the increase in the number of test nations from 10 to 12 and the admission of Ireland and Afghanistan in June 2017, it will be the first World Cup to be contested without the presence of all nations testers [4] and after. the elimination of all teams associated with the qualifying tournament, it will also be the first World Cup to have no associated members.

After the Pulwama attack in 2019, several former Indian players and the Indian Cricket Control Council (BCCI) called for a boycott of the India-Pakistan meeting, with the aim of banning the team. Pakistani cricket to participate in the tournament. 5] [6] [7] However, after a meeting with the press in Dubai, the International Cricket Council (ICC) rejected BCCI's statement regarding Pakistan's ban on taking part in the World Cup and assured that the planned match would go as planned, despite the current stalemate between the two nations. [11] It also meant that at least two of the ten nations testing players at the time of the announcement should play in the qualifying tournament and possibly miss the World Cup final.

Following recent successes, Ireland and Afghanistan have been promoted to the ICC's ODI championship and since then have also been promoted to ICC full membership, becoming the newest member of the cricket nations. test. However, they still had to qualify for the World Cup via the current process.
